ILT Horticultural Plant Growth, Aquarium LEDs

LEDs can be used to create a customized light source as the primary or supplemental light source for all types for plants at any stage of the growth cycle. Unlike most traditional light sources, LEDs allow the end user to modify the Red-Blue ratios to meet the specific needs of the individual species and the targeted affect. Whether the goal is to extend the growing season, increase bio mass, seed germination, improve coloring, enhance flavor, bud initiation, or to increase photosynthesis, LEDs can be used to create the ideal spectrum necessary.

UVA, UVB and White/VIS LEDs can also be added for mold and disease resistance, Trichrome production, and visible light photosynthesis from caratine, lycopine and phycocyanin to name a few.

LEDs have been noted to improve over all yield by as much as 40% while at the same time offering 30-40% energy savings over HID lamps, decreasing heat losses, eliminating RF/flicker, reducing maintenance costs, and they are RoHs compliant and contain no harmful mercury.
