Honeywell sub-sea displacement transducers are offered in ranges from ±0.5 in up to ±4.0 in stroke length. This sub-sea displacement sensor is pressure rated to operate down to a depth of 7500 feet in sea water. The body of the sensor is made from 316 SS with all-welded construction. The oceanographic type of electrical plug allows the connection to be made underwater. Honeywell offers in-line amplifiers and digital indicators for these LVDTs that provide ±5 Vdc, 10 Vdc or 4 mA to 20 mA and RS-232 outputs with zero and span adjustments.
