Haptics is the science of applying touch (tactile) sensation to any type of human-machine/object interface. The tactile sensation, most often experienced as a vibration of some length and amplitude, is called a “Haptic Effect” and is produced by an electro-mechanical device. Applying different input power signals to these devices will produce different haptic effects. The output vibration frequency and amplitude at which the haptic effects are produced will have an impact on how perceptible and functional the effects are to the user.
