Merilife Megasorb
MegasorbTM is a mid-term absorbable braided and coated synthetic suture made of Polyglycolic acid.MegasorbTM degrades by hydrolysis and provides predictable and reliable absorption.MegasorbTM suture is coated with a mixture of Caprolactone and Calcium Stearate.MegasorbTM suture are violet and are also available undyed.
When dyed only FDA approved color additives such as D&C Violet no. 2 are used.
MegasorbTM meets all the requirements established by United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) for synthetic absorbable surgical sutures (except for an occasional slight oversize in some gauges).
