Merisoft PlainTM gut suture is an absorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of purified connective tissue (mostly collagen) derived from sheep intestines.

Merisoft PlainTM meets all the requirements established by United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) for Natural absorbable surgical sutures.

Properties

The tensile strength is maintained for not more than 7 to 10 days post implantation, and its absorption is complete within 60 to 90 days.

Indications

Merisoft PlainTM suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
