Merilife MITSU FST
MITSU FST is a short-term absorbable braided and coated synthetic suture made of low molecular weight Polyglactin 910. MITSU FSTTM degrades by hydrolysis and assures predictable and reliable absorption.
Made from copolymer of 90% glycolide & 10% lactide, MITSU FSTTM (Polyglactin 910) suture is available as dyed and undyed. The rapid loss of strength characteristic is achieved by use of a polymer material with a lower molecular weight than that of coated MITSU FSTTM(Polyglactin 910) suture.
Properties
- Retention of 50 % knot tensile strength after 5 days
- Complete mass absorption within 40 to 42 days
Indications
- Episiotomy repair
